The Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 which recently ended has left us looking forward to the striking beauty trends! The hairstyles and makeup of the show always leave us in awe for their endless creativity. This time around, it proved that the coming Spring/Summer season makeup will not just be limited to red lips and smoky eyes, rather, it would be more experimental with an edgy touch. Keep reading to know the top 7 beauty trends that were spotted during the MFW.

1. Metallic cat-eye

The look:

Pat McGrath gave us major cat-eye goals at the Versace show with the new age metallic eyes. This look made a statement with models flaunting them off with pale lips to match. Gigi Hadid carried out the look effortlessly.

How to achieve it:

  • Start with a metallic eyeliner by drawing sharp wings.
  • Outline them with a black eyeliner to finish the look.

2. Oversized lashes

The look

Prada’s makeup was inspired from the 60s and the models were seen with bold spidery lashes. This stunning touch in contrast with a bare face was a perfect look, which has inspired us to recreate it.

How to achieve it:

  • Apply 2-3 coats of a mascara that adds immense length and volume to your lashes to make them flatter.
  • Then take a brown eye pencil and overdraw the lashes on your upper lid.
  • Keep the rest of the face minimal.

3. Iridescent eyes

The look:

While we reach out for a gold or silver eyeshadow to highlight the inner corner of our eyes, the Missoni runway proved us that an iridescent pastel hue works its magic. Models were seen with luminous skin and highlighted cheekbones along with minimal base makeup. This look is an instant glam up for you.

How to achieve it:

  • Start at the inner corners of the eyes and apply a pastel metallic eyeshadow.
  • You can choose from lilac, lime, aqua or similar shades.

4. Soft pink eyes

The look:

Giorgio Armani team chose an all-pink look, proving that this feminine hue can be utterly sophisticated when put together. Soft pink eyes were paired along with nude and neutral lips.

How to achieve it:

  • Use a soft pink shade to create a smokey eyeshadow effect.
  • Keep the rest of the face bare and opt for a nude lipstick.
  • Go for a messy hair updo for the final touch.

5. Bold eyebrows

The look:

We are absolutely in love with the backcombed brows seen on models at the Fendi show! Bold eyebrows with clean glossy eyelids and minimal base makeup looks stunning. A bun and loose baby hair looks minimal and fuss free for a perfect daily look.

How to achieve it:

  • Keep the base makeup clean and back comb the eyebrows to make them look bold and fuller.
  • Keep the eye makeup simple.
  • Add a neutral lip shade that closely matches the color of your lips and you’re ready to rock!

6. Brick red lips and bronzed face

The look:

The runway show by Moschino were sported with deep bronzed skin and brick red lips. The eyes were kept neutral with a hint of mascara. This look is minimal yet chic and it just spells out “Glamouros”.

How to achieve it:

  • Keep the base makeup clean.
  • Add loads of bronzer to deepen the color of your cheeks.
  • Let the eye makeup be clean with just a coat of mascara.
  • Finish the look with a deep brick red lipstick.

7. Sun-kissed glowing skin

The look:

A perfect sun-kissed holiday look was the mood at the runway of Alberta Ferretti. The models had a just out of the beach look! The base makeup was kept dewy and luminous with a hint of blush. Soft pink lips along with a layer of mascara made the look even more flattering.

How to achieve it:

  • Opt for a dewy foundation.
  • Add some blush and top it off with highlighter on your cheeks.
