In Pics: 5 times Aishwarya Rai stunned us with her bold choice of makeup

With a face that could launch a thousand ships, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is known for her arresting beauty. While her makeup on regular basis is simple, there are times when she steps out of her comfort zone, donning something completely unexpected! Here are 5 times Aishwarya Rai stunned us with her bold choice of makeup.

Eyes framed in cobalt blue

During the Slack Bay (Ma Loute)’ premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2016, the stunner chose to frame her gorgeous eyes with a cobalt blue eyeliner/eyeshadow. She kept the rest of the face simple and her attire too was a skin colour highlighted by sparkly embellishments.

Lips from the future

The same year for the premiere of ‘From The Land Of The Moon (Mal De Pierres)’ Aishwarya went for what appears lip colour that was truly futuristic. Whether you loved it or hated it, you certainly couldn’t ignore it!

Go fuchsia!

This might not have been as dramatic as the first two, but the combination of bright fuchsia pink lipstick on a teal coloured gown (as worn for the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ premiere for Cannes Film Festival, 2013) was a bold choice.

Lavender Eyeshadow

At the 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala, her lavender eyeshadow perfectly matched the hue of her floral gown. But she compensated by keeping the rest of her face subtle.

Silver Sparkle!

At the opening evening of the FIF 2007, the beauty donned a silver eyelid that sparkled just as much as her diamond necklace did.  The rest of the look was toned down with an ethereal white attire!
